Let’s work together
We are looking for qualified psychotherapists who want a community to join our psychotherapy centre
Qualified Psychotherapist – Join a Supportive Practice Community (Self-Employed)
We are an established psychotherapy practice in Cambridge offering an opportunity for a newly qualified and qualified therapist to begin private practice within a calm, supportive, and well-organised setting.
Alongside the practical aspects, many practitioners value the sense of community here. We have a small, established group of around 10 therapists, creating a collegial and supportive environment. In addition to our monthly CPD events and consultation groups, therapists often organise their own informal spaces, such as reading groups and social gatherings.
This offers opportunities for connection, reflection, and shared learning.
This role is suited to someone who wants to focus on their clinical work, while the practical aspects of building a practice are already in place.
The Opportunity
You will work as a self-employed psychotherapist, developing your own caseload within an existing referral network and a community of practitioners.
The structure is designed to make private practice straightforward: you bring your clinical work; we provide the framework and clients that supports it.
How It Works
• You keep 100% of the fees you charge your clients.
• A monthly membership fee that gives assessed referrals with a case history, a profile on our website and inclusion in the practice.
• Flexible hourly room booking and reduced room hire charges.
• You manage your own clinical work and schedule; referrals, space, and infrastructure are already in place.
What We Offer
• Regular and assessed referrals with a case history to support the development of your caseload
• Quiet, well-maintained therapy rooms in central Cambridge
• A collegial community of therapists
• A setting where the practicalities of private practice are simplified
Optional (additional cost):
• Clinical consultation groups
• CPD events
Who This Is For
• Newly qualified psychotherapists or counsellors, psychotherapists looking for a community and help building a private practice
• Registered or eligible for registration with a recognised UK body (e.g. BACP, UKCP, HCPC)
• Interested in private practice within a supportive structure
• Looking for a balance of independence and community
What We’re Looking For
• Thoughtful and ethical clinical practice
• Reliability and consistency
• Willingness to be part of a professional community
• Engagement with ongoing development
